Where The Pike Inn Legacy Lives On
Our History
The meaning behind our name here on Old National Road dates back to another stop along a pike route, The Pike Inn on old Route 22 in Bloomingdale, Ohio. This restaurant & bar was once owned by Henry Discipio, and run by Nina Gentile; Henry was my grandfather, and Nina was my mom. It was considered a landmark by many, but more importantly for me, it was our home (next door) and our little family business. It was a restaurant my mother ran proudly, and a source of inspiration for me as a business owner today.
The Pike Inn was known for its great steaks and fresh pasta, as well as their house salad topped with pickled veggies. Henry was a proud Italian and he really knew how to cook. Patrons from both in-town and out of town would frequent our restaurant and rave about the griddle top steak fried in butter.
Raised in a big Italian family, an abundance of good, fresh food was important, not only in the restaurant but also at the family dinner table. My mother was a wonderful cook, and I’ve honored that tradition in my own home with my family and with friends.

We came in from South Central Pennsylvania and enjoyed the ranch night concert. We wanted Pike 40 to be our final stop to complete our trip before heading home. Hands down, great service and excellent food! Loved our waitress and getting to share pictures with her from Friday night. Also,Thanks to everyone at Dutton Ranch with directions to town for a truck battery and delivering our meat order. Yall are all wonderful.

This is a wonderful quaint little place in Belmont County right off the highway between Wheeling and Columbus. It’s small, but it bats out of its league in terms of food, welcoming atmosphere, and local cuisine. The Wagyu burgers are locally sourced beef, and the Buffalo Chicken Cheese dip is to die for. The bakery features in house made deserts including cheesecakes, which we often get to go. Highly recommend to locals or travelers. As an added bonus, during the summer, they host live local musical talent like Roger Hoard and Dr Dan Jones. Roger is well known to country aficionados as a the professor to Brad Paisley’s musical chops. Amazing Appalachian place!!! Highly recommend!!!

Stopped here on our way to DC. After Columbus it was a food desert, nothing but fast food along the interstate. Stopped for gas and a local told us about The Pike 40. It is wonderful. Especially the BBQ. They do it on site and is one of the best I have tasted. Overall a 5-star experience.
