The Pike 40 is a gathering place to enjoy the best in Ohio Valley cuisine.   

Located in an original U.S. Route 40 roadhouse just outside of historic Morristown, Ohio, The Pike 40 celebrates the local cuisine of the Ohio Valley. The menu represents some of the area's favorite americana and comfort dishes, along with offerings that reflect the rich immigrant history specific to the region.

We’re proud to have won “Best Overall” multiple years at the Ohio Valley’s “Taste of the Valley” held in Belmont County by the St. Clairsville Rotary, and the word has been getting out about our awesome fried fish, as well as our bar atmosphere! It’s with this momentum that pushed us to build out our back patio and event space. From our comfy couches around the gas fire pit, to our green turf patio, there is plenty of space to enjoy yourself!

HISTORY OF OUR NAME…

The Pike Inn, Bloomingdale, Ohio

The meaning behind our name here on Old National Road dates back to another stop along a pike route, The Pike Inn on old route 22 in Bloomingdale, Ohio.  This restaurant & bar was once owned by Henry Discipio, and run by Nina Gentile; Henry was my grandfather, and Nina was my mom. It was considered a landmark by many, but more importantly for me, it was our home (next door) and our little family business.  It was a restaurant my mother ran proudly, and a source of inspiration for me as a business owner today. 

The Pike Inn was known for its great steaks and fresh pasta, as well as their house salad topped with pickled veggies.  Henry was a proud Italian and he really knew how to cook.  Patrons from both in-town and out of town would frequent our restaurant and rave about the griddle top steak fried in butter. 

Raised in a big Italian family, an abundance of good, fresh food was important, not only in the restaurant but also at the family dinner table.  My mother was a wonderful cook, and I’ve honored that tradition in my own  home with my family and with friends.
